Carnival of Healing #70: 360 Degrees of Wellness

The Carnival of Healing is a weekly round-up of blogs across the Internet featuring information about healing, self empowerment, and spirituality.

This week at About Holistic Healing I posted Six Steps From Dis-ease To Living Better which is a basic outline of how I approach healing illness. Returning to wellness from an illness is coming "full circle." When reviewing the assortment of carnival submissions this week, I felt a strong sense of community with my blogger partners. So many of us ( healers, teachers, counselors, coaches, etc.) are each doing our part in helping others make the turns necessary to complete their 360 degree illness-to-wellness journeys. This circular path is well trodden.

Inspiration

Maria Yu announces her new Web site Chalk on the Sidewalk featuring inspirational quotes.

Debra Moorhead posts The Daffodil Principal: You Can Change the World, One Day, One Task at a Time.

Kimberly Pirtle, Uncover Your Bliss posts Gratitude giving three examples why feeling gratitude can be difficult. She also gives six easy steps to help train us to use gratitude as a daily practice.

Anyone who has ever felt fragmented or unfocused will be able to relate to Ed's experience.

Motivational Speaker, Craig Harper posts A Successful Failure using his own professional journey as an example of creating something "amazing" in our lives. He says "... that failure is a crucial ingredient in the Personal Development journey. Show me a person who's never failed and I'll show you a person who's never done anything."

Affirmative Project, Reflections and Resolutions

from Phylameana lila Desy

Healing Matters: Reflections and Resolutions

It's that time once again when we reflect on events of the passing year and prepare to turn to a fresh page as a new year begins. I've been a tad cynical about making New Year resolutions at times. The new year will unfurl whether we are ready or not so why attempt to resolve anything? I would not bother to make any resolutions, content to just let life come at me. I'm a relatively good dodger. "BRING IT ON" would be my mantra to taunt the new year. However, in recent years I've come to realize that I don't have to be a moving target dodging spit balls life throws at me. I can choose how to react to things that are unpleasant by looking at them differently, or by not focusing on them as being negatives.

My 2007 New Year's Resoultion: "I resolve to live in a more affirmative light in the coming year."

I think I do that pretty well anyway but there is always room for improvement. To get the ball rolling, beginning January 1st I will be posting daily blog entries throughout the month to get myself in the groove of living in the affirmative and attracting positives into my life. I will also catalog my daily Affirmative Project posts. Getting better organized is also part of my being more positive resolution.

What is the Affirmative Project?

The Affirmative Project is my personal 31 day "intention" to give my 2007 New Year's Resolution a kick-start.

What are your New Year's Resolutions?

Namaste

Affirmative Project: Day 1
Applying the "Law of Attraction" and plugging into the positive. I will employ the Law of Attraction to draw positives my way. The thing is, the Law of Attraction works regardless if I consciously apply it or not. The trick is to attract positives NOT NEGATIVES! We attract all things according to our actions, thoughts, and attitudes. Like attracts like. If I am grumpy or feeling unsatisfied, I will attract people and situations into my life with similar attitudes. If I hate my job, then every chore becomes a burden. But, if I focus on the positives, life can be cake topped with lots of frosting. Sweet!
