1. Autographed Lionel Hampton 45 rpm Stereo Record, 1972 by Brunswick Records. Personally autographed by the great jazz artist Hampton himself, the name "Lionel Hampton" is clearly written in blue ball point pen ink across the top on one side of the white paper record sleeve. This record is in absolutely perfect mint condition, having never been played even once. Record features the song "There It Is" on Side A and "Happiness" on Side B. It is Brunswick record label No. B55507. I own this record (and another just like it with a Hampton autograph on its sleeve) because my mother was employed as a waitress in the United Nations Delegates Lounge and Dining Hall from 1962 to 1976. She was serving tables during the evening when Lionel Hampton and his jazz group performed as special guests there for a Westinghouse dinner. After the show, my mother, who waited on Hampton's table during the dinner, received an autographed menu and this 45 rpm record with his autograph on the sleeve, as a token of gratitude from Mr. Hampton. $50.00
2. UN Menu with Autographs of Lionel Hampton, Sandman Simms, Valerie Carr. This Eight-page menu commemorates the Westinghouse Dinner by the Edison Electric Institute, June 1974, at the United Nations in New York City, New York. It measures 8 x 8 inches and is in excellent condition. On the sixth and seventh pages is a brief description of the United Nations Headquarters in New York City and ends with a brief commentary on the great jazz artist Lionel Hampton, recognized in this Westinghouse event as the "U.S. Ambassador of Good Will to the World." On the seventh page is the signature of Lionel Hampton written largely across the middle of the page in blue ballpoint pen ink. Across the top left of the same page is written in blue ballpoint pen ink the message "Thanks for being so nice!" and is followed by the autograph of singer Valerie Carr. Across the bottom is written the message "To Ann, Lots of Luck allways" and is followed by the autograph of Sandman Simms, African-American tap dance legend from New York city, also written in blue ballpoint pen ink. Ann was my mother who served as waitress to these entertainers' table on that memorable evening at the United Nations Delegates Dining Hall and Banquet Room. $95.00
3. Peter, Paul and Mary On Tour Songbook, published by the Pepamar Music Corp., New York, NY, copyright 1964. It contains 28 pages of words and music by Bob Dylan, Peter Yarrow, Paul Stookey, Mary Travers, Willie Dixon, and Milton Okun. Songs titles are: All My Trials, Hush-A-Bye, Tell It On The Mountain, Polly Von, Rocky Road, Very Last Day, Big Boat, and Quit Your Low Down Ways. I am the original owner of this book. I have kept it in near-mint condition ever since I bought it in 1964. Possibly the pages have yellowed very slightly over the years but, other than that, this songbook is immaculate inside and out. The front and back covers are without flaws except that the original price at bottom right corner of front cover was blacked out with a felt tip marker (see photo). $25.00
4. Bob Dylan's Blowin' In The Wind Sheet Music, published by the M. Witmark & Sons, New York, NY, copyright 1963. It features the words and music to the song by Bob Dylan with cover photos of Peter, Paul and Mary, the popular folk trio who really made this song famous with their passionate recording of it in the early 60s and thereby brought worldwide attention to the great poet/songwriter/folksinger himself, Bob Dylan. Who of us today cannot still hum the melody of this song or even sing its words? Oh, the memories it brings back... This epic song certainly set the stage for the music and mindsets of many people, young and old, during those troubled years of the 60s in America and the affect it has had is still prevalent today. Perhaps no other song in music history has meant so much to so many people from so many different walks of life. And very likely no other song will ever match it for its sensitivity and emotional impact. I am the original owner of this sheet music. Overall it is in excellent condition, although the top and bottom edges are slightly rough from handling during those years in the 60s when I played this Dylan song often on my piano. Nevertheless, it has held up well over the passage of time and has no other flaws that I can see. It is a clean copy and there are no stains or pen or pencil marks anywhere. $45.00
5. M*A*S*H novel by Richard Hooker. This is a hard cover "Book Club Edition," Copyright 1968 by William Morrow and Company, Inc. This is the book that inspired the motion picture from 20th Century Fox and, ultimately, the popular 70s television production of M*A*S*H. My copy of this book is in very good condition. There is some discoloration and normal wear and tear on the dust jacket (visible in the photo images) but the book itself is in very fine to excellent condition. Only the front of dust jacket has a small tape repair at the bottom. There are no folds, tears, creases, stains, writing, fingerprints, or other marks of any kind on the pages within. Perhaps there is some very slight yellowing of the pages from age, but as this book has been kept on a book shelf in my non-smoking home ever since it was purchased in 1968, it is truly in very fine condition. $10.00
7. Art Deco Shawl Dancer Figurine. This colorful "Objet 'D Elegance Collection" figurine is designed in amazing detail, Art Deco style. Great attention has been given to the hand-painted faux beadwork which is unique to the fashion of the Art Deco era. This sculpture is one of the magnificent sculptures from the Objet 'D Elegance Collections. It measures 5 1/4 inches x 4 1/2 inches x 14 1/2 inches and is crafted of "Alabastrite," a combination of oxylite and polystone, forming a stone-based, polyresin material. This special combination allows the sculpting mastery of the artisan to be captured in intricate detail in this handsomely finished figurine. The Objet 'D Elegance Collection reflects the vibrant colors, simple geometric shapes, and sophistication of the Art Deco style of the 20s and 30s. This item is in brand new mint condition and packaged snugly in styrofoam inside its original cardboard box. $25.00
8. Beatle John Lennon Poster. Poster measures 23 inches by 35 inches and features face of Beatle John Lennon, laughing and wearing his trademark wire-rimmed eyeglasses. At bottom of poster it reads "John Lennon 1940-1980 The Song Is Over." At bottom left corner of poster is the number "4820" and at bottom right corner of poster it reads "1980 International Sales England." I purchased this poster shortly after the December 8, 1980, murder of John Lennon by Mark David Chapman and I have kept it rolled up and protected inside a heavy mailing tube ever since. It has never been hung on any wall and is in perfect mint condition. It shows no creases, wrinkles, tape marks, stains, or any other flaws. $65.00
9. Cat Skeleton with Raccoon Skull. Is it a catcoon or a raccat? Has evolution gone awry? Is it a new species or some crazy hybrid? Maybe it's a genetic mutation, bioengineering goof, or product of a wild mad cloning experiment. Or could it possibly be the allusive "MISSING LINK" found at last? Sorry, no. It's none of those things. This is a fully articulated cat skeleton with a raccoon skull mounted onto the cervical vertebrae in place of its original feline skull. The complete set of bones, minus the skull, was discovered inside a rotting tree stump many years ago and, after some cleaning and bleaching, was carefully assembled with wires and metal rods to stand in a lifelike position on a hard wooden base. The base measures 19 3/4 inches long by 6 inches wide and has a rubber support affixed to the underside at each corner for stability on tabletops or shelves. The skull and skeleton consist entirely of real bones. These are not plastic replicas. On the wood base I attached the following plastic labels: "PHYLUM CHORDATA, SUBPHYLUM VERTEBRATA, DOMESTIC CAT, FELIS FAMILIARIS (scientific name for common house cat)." This would make a great gift for a student or teacher, veterinarian, taxidermist, someone interested in vertebrate or mammalian anatomy, or anyone else who might like to own something different and unusual. $85.00
History of above item: I displayed this skeleton inside an exhibit case in my 7th grade life science classroom for more than thirty years until I retired from teaching two years ago. It looked odd without the head, of course, so I eventually attached a raccoon skull that I had in my small skull collection. It fit perfectly as a substitute for the missing cat skull. Few people ever noticed the incongruity until I pointed it out to them. It was used as a visual aid during my life science lessons about vertebrates (animals without backbones).
12. Garfield Sun Catcher. This colorful Garfield collectible features the famous comic strip cat standing in a patch of flowers, his arms outstretched, that unforgettable look of joy on his wide-eyed feline face. It measure 3 3/4 inches by 3 1/2 inches and appears to be made in the fashion of a stained-glass, lead-framed work of art, but this piece is fashioned with translucent plastic inside zinc or aluminum. Using a magnifier I was able to read "Garfield Copyright 1978, United Features Syndicate, Inc." in the small rectangular tab on the left side between Garfield's right paw and flowers below. It is a charming sun catcher and a wonderful gift for any Garfield fan or Garfield memorabilia collector. There is a tiny hole at very top to allow connection to string, wire, hook, etc. I recommend one of those inexpensive suctioncup window hangers. Mint condition. $10.00
13. Garfield Sun Catcher. This colorful Garfield collectible features the famous comic strip cat sleeping soundly on the crescent moon. It measuere 3 3/4 inches by 4 1/4 nches and appears to be made in the fashion of a stained-glass, lead-framed work of art, but this piece is fashioned with translucent plastic inside zinc or aluminum. At the very bottom and to the left of Garfield's tail is a small rectangular metal tab that, I suspect , shows the copyright date as in Item No. 12 above but, unfortunately, the yellow plastic completely covers this tab and makes it impossilbe to read. Since I purchased this sun catcher at the same time as Item 12 above, I would guess that it too was manufactured in 1978 and on the metal tab it would likely show this copyright date and "United Features Syndicate. Inc." as in Item No. 12 above. It is a charming sun catcher and a wonderful gift for any Garfield fan or memorabilia collector. There is a small hole at very top of the moon to allow connection to string, wire, hook, etc. I recommend one of those inexpensive suctioncup window hangers. Mint condition. $10.00
14. Marilyn Monroe Pocket Knife. Made in USA, this is a nicely designed 3 1/2-inch sturdy plastic and steel pocket knife with 2 1/4-inch steel blade. On one side the knife's handle is solid black plastic. On the other side the handle is of transparent plastic overlying the famous "Golden Dream" photo of nude Marilyn Monroe from her popular 1955 calendar. Marilyn Monroe collectibles like this are becoming more and more difficult to find. This pocket knife is an authentic original, not a reproduction, and has never been used, so you will find it to be in absolute new condition. $45.00

18. Indian Pottery Shards From Southwestern United States - See below for description. Set Two, $25.00
19. Indian Pottery Shards From Southwestern United States - See below for description. Set Three, $25.00
The above-listed Indian Pottery Shards are authentic and came from an ancient Indian ruin located in southwestern Colorado around fifteen years ago. The makers of this pottery were the relatives and neighbors of the prehistoric Indians who occupied the famous cliff dwellings found in Mesa Verde National Park. The ruin, located approximately 32 miles northeast of Mesa Verde, was occupied, according to archaeologists, sometime between 700 AD and 1050 AD. The two pieces of ancient Indian pottery are attached to a 9x10-inch sheet of heavy poster board. One piece is a "corrugated" type and the other a "painted" type of potsherd. Pieces range in size from 1 x 1 1/2 inches to 1 3/4 x 3 3/4 inches. These are genuine Indian potsherds, and were collected and arranged on the poster boards by an archaeologist from the Putnam Museum in Davenport, Iowa. Historic background and a paragraph describing each pottery type accompanies each piece on the front of the poster board.

26. Prehistoric Animals, rare book by Dr. Joseph Augusta, Professor of Paleontology, illustrated under the direction of the author by Zdenek Burian, text translated by Dr. Greta Hort. Designed and produced by ARTIA for Spring Books, London , and printed in Czechoslovakia in the late 1950s or early 1960s. No copyright date is shown inside the book but I know the late 1950s or early 1960s is correct since this book was a birthday gift to me when I was only eleven or twelves years old (1959 or 1960). The dust jacket shows considerable wear along edges and at top and bottom of spine. There are also some small scratches (the largest is a four-inch scratch across the back of dj) and several small worn areas on both the front and back of dj (See additional photos: back cover and inside view). But aside from the rough condition of its dust jacket, this large (10 1/8 inches by 13 3/4 inches) clothbound book is in excellent condition for its age. The pages are heavy stock and completely intact, clean, not marked or even browned from age, and show no other type of damage. As this book has always been kept preserved within a bookcase in dry rooms of my nonsmoking homes over the past years, it has no mildew or musty odor of any kind. Inside there is a 45-page introductory text which describes the development of life up to man. This is followed by sixty short essays on specific creatures, each accompanied by a multicolored or two-color plate/illustration, for a total of sixty stunning famous plates of art depicting prehistoric scenes as once imagined by a legendary paleontologist from that era. As few of these books survive today in this excellent condition, this item would make a great gift to any dinosaur collector in the family. $75.00

Jurassic Age STEGOSAURUS (click on name to see photo of complete fossil skeleton at American Museum of Natural History in New York City) was a herbivorous armored dinosaur with six to eight bony spikes on his tail for defense. He lived in the western United States over one hundred million years ago. Made of a dark gray hard plastic and weighing a full two pounds, this museum-quality replica measures 20 1/2 inches long and 5 1/2 inches across at its widest end. It was authentically reproduced from a mold that was made from an actual Stegosaurus fossil tail spike exhibited in a Utah museum collection. $65.00

A great gift for the serious dinosaur collector in the family. All three for $40.00
29. Dinosaur Footprint Plaster Cast. This is a white plaster cast of an Anchisauripus footprint made from the original mold created by Peabody Museum Paleontologist John Ostrum in the1970s. The Anchisauripus was a small carnivorous dinosaur that lived in the Connecticut Valley of New England about two hundred million years ago. The footprint was impressed in the mud, baked by the sun and covered by successive layers of sediment that hardened into rock. Millions of years later the layers of rock were eroded away, exposing the footprint. Although the actual skeleton was not found, the footprint tells scientists many things about the dinosaur that made it, whether it was a carnivore or a herbivore, its size, and how it moved. The footprint was named "Anchisauripus" (near dinosaur) by its discoverer, Edward Hitchcock, President of Amherst College and noted geologist in the mid-nineteenth century. The original footprints, as well as bones of this dinosaur, were found in the early years of the nineteenth century after a farm boy named Plinus Moody spied the ancient tracks in a rock ledge at South Hadley, Massachusetts. They were the first dinosaur fossils in North America to be examined and saved but, unfortunately, weren't recognized for what they were until 1855. Today they reside safely in the collection of the Peabody Museum at Yale. The cast measures 4 1/2 inches by 7 3/8 inches. $10.00 each
